| es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | This article examines the ethical and social effects of the application of artificial intelligence (AI) to US border control during the 2020-2024 period. The research analyzes how technologies such as facial recognition, predictive analytics, and autonomous systems have transformed border surveillance and risk management. While these tools have increased operational efficiency, they also pose serious dilemmas related to privacy, algorithmic biases, and state legitimacy. Based on the North American experience, lessons are offered for Colombia and the Latin American region, where migratory pressure and social vulnerabilities require the design of robust regulatory frameworks that guarantee security without undermining fundamental rights. | es_ES |
